This is my favorite films of all time. Not just because it has war but it has personality, teamwork, great acting, beautiful cinematography, and well written.  In 1945, paratrooper, James Ryan (Matt Damon) loses his brothers in combat and now he has a ticket home so he himself won’t die. But, he lost and it’s up to Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks) and his men to bring him back alive. The film shows us how much war is horrible and scary but the soldiers push to complete the mission whatever the cost. It has a huge cast of actors who you would not have known that was even big in the 90’s like Vin Diesel, Edward Burns, or Paul Giamatti . The shots in the film are glorious showing beautiful landscapes of Europe and other times its sad seeing buildings broken or homes being burned down. Tom Hanks is so great and powerful that he should’ve got a Oscar for his role because no actor could top him. The rest of cast is just as good and realistic. I recommend everyone who hasn’t seen this to see it soon. Verdict: 10/10.
